The Organizers
Monika E. Schoop is an associate
Monika & Piepsie
professor of musicology at Leuphana
University
Lüneburg,
Germany.
Her
research interests include music and
memory,
music
and
politics,
music
industries and digital technologies, gender
studies, the Philippines, and, of course,
music and cats! She currently coordinates
the research project “Musical and Sonic
Spaces
of
Remembrance
in
the
Post-Witness Era,” funded by the Ministry
of Lower Saxony. During her free time, she
volunteers for an organization dedicated to
rescuing stray cats, fostering them, and
helping to find them furr-ever homes.

Rosa de Rudder
studies popular
music studies and cultural studies at
Leuphana University Lüneburg. Her areas of
interest centre around the GDR and music
and politics.
