Aline V Fagundes
Aline V Fagundes is a PhD candidate in Visual Arts at UFRGS and an
Assistant Professor at the University of Caxias do Sul, Brazil.
Akira Brown
Akira Brown is a lecturer in music and sound at the University for
Creative Arts in Farnham and sound artist specializing in improvised
electronic music performance. They completed their MScR research at
Edinburgh University in 2022, investigating the musical applications
of the Enigma cipher in the context of psuedo-random pattern
generators. Their practice-based research outputs include works for
no-input mixing with a co-authored research paper for the New
Interfaces for Musical Expression conference 2023, works for cello and
electronics as part of Salisbury's Maker's Tale exhibition, and the
award-winning audio/visual collaboration on neuron degradation for
University of Southampton. They have also spoken on ambient music
performance with modular synthesizers at the Contemporary Ambient
Research Symposium (2024) and have performed and released music
internationally.
Anne Leighton
Anne Leighton is a music publicist and public speaker with a history
working in Radio and TV, and writing for a number of music and cat
publications—notably “Goldmine,” “Hit Parader,” “Billboard,” “Cat
Fancy,” and “New York Tails.” She is a member of organizations
NARAS (The Recording Academy), Women in Music, Rampd, Cat
Writers Association, and Toastmasters. Rockwell Books UK published
her book Paws for Thought: How to Understand What Your Cat is Thinking.
The Bronx County History Society sponsors Anne’s twice-a-year
poetry workshops, “The Kindness Sessions” at the Edgar Allan Poe
Cottage, on Kingsbridge Road.
