Iván Alhucema
Colombian composer and improviser focused on contemporary and
experimental music. He graduated from the Universidad Central in
Bogotá, getting a laureate mention for his final career work. His
constant interest is to expand the field of composition through aspects
like zoomusicology, visual arts, stage performance, instrument
building and sound sculpture. He has composed mainly chamber, solo
and electroacoustic works that have been performed in different
contemporary music events in Colombia and Mexico.
Ivan Tan
Ivan Tan is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Music at Brown
University, where he teaches courses in music theory and analysis,
applied musicianship, and songwriting. His research has been
published in the journals Music Perception and Psychology of Music, as
well as in The Routledge Handbook of Progressive Rock, Metal, and the
Literary Imagination. Outside of music, he can be found doting on his
three cats: Popeye the Sailer-Tan, Henle, and Bärenreiter.
